Born into an Catholic home, she was brought up in Manhattan's Upper East Side. This is why her parents enrolled her in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious and exclusive school. The girl was a lover of music from the time she was an infant. She learned how to play the piano, and when she was thirteen, she composed her first song. The open mic night was her favorite. She was a fan of Queen Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. After high school, she attended New York University's Tisch School of Art to learn about music. However, she didn't pursue her studies, and instead she quit them to start her musical career.
